(Mercer Company) Chen Jing held a fire safety emergency drill on the afternoon of June 12 in order to enhance fire safety awareness and improve employees' fire emergency response capability. Wan Rongfu, head of the General Affairs Department, served as the commander-in-chief of the activity, with 63 department managers/directors and staff representatives participating.

At 3: 30 p. m., the fire emergency drill officially began. The commander-in-chief gave a detailed introduction to the exercise process, clarified the responsibilities of the exercise personnel, planned evacuation routes, explained the methods of escape and self-rescue, and emphasized the matters needing attention in the exercise. At the command of the commander-in-chief, all the staff responded, and the fire fighting operation team received instructions to quickly bring fire fighting equipment to the scene to simulate fire fighting. The plumber immediately checked the power supply of the fire site for partition power failure, checked whether people were trapped in the elevator, and turned off the main power supply of the elevator. Smoke billowed and the visibility of the "fire" scene without lighting was extremely low. The evacuation team leaders of each floor guided the team from the safe area to evacuations.

After evacuating to the basketball court, the commander-in-chief began to count the number of people to confirm the safe evacuation of all personnel. The commander-in-chief elaborated on the company's fire protection arrangement, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants. Subsequently, fire fighting drills were carried out. "Life first, safety first, we must prevent trouble before it is ignited." At the end of the drill, the commander-in-chief once again emphasized that fire safety must be a long-term alarm.

This actual combat exercise improved the employees' ability of fire fighting, evacuation and self-rescue, strengthened the managers' ability of organization, coordination and command, tested the performance of the company's fire-fighting equipment, and provided a strong guarantee for the company to build a strong safety protection line.
